Capturing The Essence Of A Taghazout Surf Camp

My First Solo Trip: November 2023

Back in November, I booked a solo trip to Surf Berbere and immediately fell in love with Taghazout and the area. The stunning mountains, fantastic surf, and welcoming people made it one of the best surf experiences I’d ever had. I knew I wanted to return, and luckily, I got the chance just a few months later!

March Return: Content Creation with Friends

Fast-forward to March—I organised with James to come back with a group of friends to film content for Surf Berbere. We spent a week in their beautiful three-bedroom apartment, which was spacious, had incredible sea views, and a lovely balcony perfect for soaking in the Moroccan sun. This time around, our goal was to capture as much of Taghazout’s magic as possible, so we packed our days with activities.

Surfing, Sand Dunes, and Sunsets

Every day started with a 7 a.m. wake-up call for breakfast at the Berber Café, where we enjoyed a peaceful meal overlooking the misty morning waves. Then, we’d hit the surf, followed by a new adventure each day: sand dunes, ATV rides, sunset at Taghazout Skate Park, Anchor Point, and even a trip to the beautiful Paradise Valley. We maximized every moment, making sure to showcase all the unforgettable experiences Surf Berbere and Taghazout have to offer.

Capturing the Taghazout Holiday Experience

Throughout the week, we captured videos (mostly on our iPhones) to create fun reels highlighting our activities and the relaxed, social atmosphere of Surf Berbere. Filming was effortless; every spot was so scenic that every shot turned out beautifully, making the editing process a joy. Each sunset was a stunning finale to the packed days we spent creating content.

The Perfect Balance of Adventure and Relaxation

One of the best things about Taghazout is that you can fill your time with endless activities or simply relax in the stunning surroundings. For me, there was nothing like those quiet mornings at the Surf Berber Café, sipping coffee as the sun rose over the misty water.

This trip left me more in love with Surf Berbere and Taghazout than ever. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! If you are keen to see more of my work, please check out my insta feed: @michelleyphoto
