TAGHAZOUT COVID-19 UPDATE

Coronavirus - 3 Months That Changed The World.

Surf Camp Bookings Welcome

We’re really pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for September onwards. It’s been a crazy three months. Morocco went in to a coronavirus lockdown suddenly and hard. Police and military on the streets, no outdoor excursions without paperwork showing exactly why.

Morocco One Of The Safest Countries (So Far!)

The good news is that it seems to have worked. The number of new Coronavirus cases in the Agadir region has regularly been zero. The EU have declared Morocco one of the safe destinations for travel (yippee, no quarantine on the return home) and the local authorities are making absolutely sure that any business that does open it’s doors is doing so in a safe way.

International Travel Is Back

With Morocco’s lockdown relaxed, hotels, riads and guest houses are allowed to have guests stay. International travel looks set to resume (Air Arabia quoted mid July in a local newspaper for restarting flights to / from the UK). As such, we are taking bookings.

It’s been a pretty stressful period, we’re definitely not running at full capacity yet, so if you are looking at booking a holiday to Taghazout for July or August, please do get in touch to clarify which services we are running.

Full Steam Ahead Come September

Our expectation (hope!) is that we’ll be up and running full steam ahead this September, but we are already open right now. Most of our staff are locals, so we’re doing everything we can to keep things going to ensure we can keep them paid. This also means pretty much the whole team are around and ready to spring in to action.

Our COVID-19 Response

In terms of our own response to COVID, we are following both UK and Moroccan guidelines on best practices. We have a min of 6 hours between cleaning and new guests coming in. Our staff are under strict instruction to bleach all surfaces and handles twice a day and to let rooms air as well.

We have stopped our buffet meals for the time being. Thankfully our whole eating set up is to enjoy the beautiful outdoor terraces, sunshine and fresh sea air.

Unsure About Anything, Please Just Ask

If you are unsure about any of our arrangements during this time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Likewise, for questions on deposits, moving holidays, refunds, please just get in touch and we’ll do our very best to do the right thing for our guests.
