Africa’s Longest Waves… (maybe)

​This consistent right hander offers one of the longest rides in the region. Also, the most Northern point Cathedrals, offers a quick wave rising on the reef breaking right into a good sand bank section with several defined peaks.

The harbour side offers a break from the pier to the beach of over a few hundred metres. This long mellow right keeps wrapping into the well protected south facing bay. If you don’t like paddling out, this is the place for you. You walk out to the wave from the port and then you jump on jump off this wave till the end of the bay (like a London bus) and then all you have to do is walk round to the start again. If you head up to Immesouane be sure to pop into Momo’s surf shack. He’ll sort you out with a nice mint tea!

How To Get There From The Surf Camp

Anchor point is a short 10 minute walk up the road, or for the more hardcore a 30 minute paddle against the current is also an option!
