Monster Swells, New Gappies and Solar Water Heating

It's been a busy couple of months in Taghazout, but waves galore

Just some quick Taghazout news from us, the new gappies got started just as some monster swells have rolled through (and more look like they are hitting this week).

It is often the way in the January course that the first couple of months of the course a baptism of fire, at least the guys doing the course get a good chance to see what they are aspiring too (double overhead monsters at Anchors…. 🙂

Here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks (including a couple of shots that got Hannes MSW photo of the day):

Oh, and we finally managed to install some solar water heating systems for both the surf camp and the Bouad House, sexy and environmentally friendly!

There was a palpable sense of relief when the Summer came to an end in Taghazout. Don’t get me wrong it is still a lovely place to come and visit during July and August, but it is not the same place that we love.
